A beautiful and still fully useable duodarn, which is pretty incredible when you consider that it is now over 350 years old. The carving is very nicely executed and it has a lovely rich colour.

Please note that this does not split into two pieces and is very heavy!

Condition: Overall this is in very good condition, but obviously with an item of this age there are a few flaws and areas of wear. I have tried to highlight anything I think is of note in the photos, but the main points are: there is wear/damage (possibly caused either by a cat scratching it, or water damage, it is hard to tell) to the left hand bottom corner, and to a lesser degree on the right hand front corner; the feet are quite worn and the cupboard leans forward a little; there is a slight twist to the structure which isn’t causing any problems, but it does not sit perfectly square; the upper doors are in very good condition with their original hinges but have some later added wooden turn latches to hold the doors shut; the bottom doors show signs of having had larger hinges originally - there are old nail holes and marks on the wood where they would have been - and the bottom left hinge area has various losses to the timber; a lock has been removed from the right hand door; the left hand door secures with a large metal bolt but we have added a catch to the right hand door as it would not stay shut - this could easily be removed if desired; various marks, knocks and small splits throughtou in accordance with age.
