A beautiful chair with lovely painted decoration and a delicate structure, with turned uprights and stretchers. We believe this chair to originate from the Hindeloopen area, where painted furniture of this style was produced.
Condition: The chair components are quite slender so there is a degree of movement in the structure, but it will easily support an adult. The painted decoration is worn in areas but overall is in good condition. The rush seat has probably been renewed at some point in the life of the chair, though is by no means recent, and has plenty of life left in it.
