This wonderfully quirky little desk would be a pleasure to use, with the drawer large enough to hold a laptop computer. It has so many lovely details, from the wavy gallery to the scalloped stretchers. The stained glass door has two blue roundels in the centre with blue, yellow, pink and green glass surrounding them. There is a label on the inside of the door reading ‘Rd. at the patent office Designs Branch No. 318,344’. We believe that this item was retailed by Liberty and Co.

Condition: The desk is in good solid condition throughout. There are some minor scratches to the surface, mainly on the drawer front and sides. The piece of canvas where the writing surface is hinged has deteriorated a little, which can be seen when the top is in the folded position.

Dimensions:

Width - 66cm

Depth - 39cm

Height - 103cm

Height to desk top - 76cm
