A lovely little lowboy made using a combination of solid oak and fruitwood. The colour is gorgeous, and the carving on the legs gives it just the right amount of detail.
Condition: This is in very good solid condition, with some minor surface wear in accordance with age and use. The club feet have a few repairs to them - it looks as though new timber has been added to replace areas of loss, but this has been neatly done and is quite hard to spot. One of the handles has a piece missing. The only real flaw is that all the drawers except the one on the right have replacement bases (the right hand drawer has the original pine base, the other three have plywood) - this is only really apparent when the drawers are removed and viewed from the back as when viewed inside the drawer the replacement bases blend in well with the original. The alterations to the drawers is reflected in the price.
