A nice wall hanging box. Boxes of this form where generally used for storing either candles or cutlery/knifes - with the knife and fork inlaid on the front of this one its safe to assume it was definitely intended to store cutlery!
It does have a few areas of loss and damage, mainly to the corners - please see the photos. The inlaid design on the front is done in oak - usually a different timber was used to make the design stand out more, so the effect is quite subtle.
The box measures 44cm high, 22cm wide and 17cm deep.
