A very attractive plate with nicely painted decoration. It has a hole drilled through the back to carry a hanging wire, but this unfortunately appears to have caused the crack as it runs right though the centre of this. The crack has been repaired with metal staples - I have a bit of a soft spot for ceramics with old stapled repairs so for me this adds to its charm, but I’m sure not everyone will see it the same way, and this is reflected in the price.
Condition: Other than the crack mentioned above the charger is in good condition, with some wear and chipping to the glaze around the rim, as is common with delftware.
