Mervyn Goode was born in 1948. He studied landscape architecture at the Gloucestershire College of Art, but decided to leave this profession at the age of 21 to pursue his ambitions as a landscape painter. His first exhibition in London in 1970 was a huge success and he has continually exhibited in London, the provinces and the USA ever since, both in one-man and mixed shows, with great success. His work is much sought after by his many collectors both in the UK and abroad.
His work has been reproduced in various fine art books and periodicals by, amongst others, the Medici Society, the Bucentaur Gallery, Royle Publications, and Kingsmead Publications, and has featured in various television documentary programmes.
Condition: The painting itself is in very good condition. The frame has some small signs of wear, including a mark on the painted inner slip - please see the photos.
