A matching pair of Dutch Delftware plate dating from the mid 18th century, decorated in blue and white with a yellow rim.
A rare matching pair of Dutch delftware plates, hand painted with a floral design. Both plates have a yellow rim which really sets off the intense blue used for the decoration.
As is usual with delftware of this period, both plates have chips to the rim, and both have a couple of surface flaws. There is a hairline crack to both plates, running from the rim towards the centre - please see the photos.
The plates measure 23.5cm in diameter and are approximately 3cm deep.
