I’m not sure exactly how old this is, but would estimate early twentieth century. I had a go at translating the inscription on the back with google translate, but it didn’t make much sense so suspect I’ve misinterpreted some of the letters. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!
Condition: There is some damage to the paint on the top of the lid - it has probably been opened back against a wall repeatedly. Otherwise it is in good condition with a small amount of surface wear. There are some woodworking holes in the feet and base - these don’t appear to be recent but we have treated the affected areas as a precaution.
